2019 Inductee

NORM GOLDNER

LET IT BE KNOWN, that by a vote of the Rolling In Golf Club Board of Directors, and with a strong sense of admiration that the Club honors Norm Goldner, Rochester Hills, Michigan as he is celebrated for his passion for the game of golf, and his long-standing dedication and participation in the Rolling In Golf Club.

Norman Goldner was a founding member of the Rolling In Golf Club in 2009.  Despite being an early "senior" in the club, Norman has always been known for his fluid swing and distance with his drives off the tee.  A student of the game, Norman has considerable knowledge of all aspects of the game of golf.  He is a true golf competitor; reaching the finals of the first President's Match Play Championship, and with regularity scores his age on the golf course.

Being a consistent participant in most all of the events of the Rolling In Golf Club, Norman sets an example for the "younger" members of the club in not only how to handle aging as an individual, but as a golfer, as well.  Trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Norm has a proper attitude towards life and golf, which serves as a model to all members of the club.  He is positive in his disposition, just in his dealings and fair in his assessments of the world that he lives, and especially as an active member in the affairs of the club.  He is appreciative of the leadership and efforts of those who make the Rolling In Golf Club a success, and his advice and suggestions on how to improve the club are taken seriously, and often acted upon by the Board of Directors or individuals assisting in an event.

What makes Norman a true Rolling In Golf Club Hall of Fame inductee, is that he is known for both being fun to be with socially and to play golf with.  He is appreciated for having a calming influence on his follow players who might be having a bad day on the course, and has a good inventory of jokes, some of which a slightly, but tastefully, "bawdy".  Despite his "hobby" of looking for stray balls, Norman maintains a fast pace of play.  His courtesy and etiquette on the golf course is nothing short of first class.

THEREFORE, In special tribute, recognized by the signatures of the Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee and President of the Rolling In Golf Club, Norman Goldner is rightfully and with the unanimous acclimation of the club's Board of Directors named to the Rolling In Golf Club Hall of Fame.
